Basic Instructions

1. Record your StoryTubes video.

Film your video using a digital video recorder/camcorder or digital camera that can record movies. 

Note:  If you don't have access to equipment of this type, there may be a taping site near you.
 

2. Edit your StoryTubes video.

Your StoryTubes video can only be 2 minutes long, so you might have to cut out places where you didn't talk or other parts of your video.

Your computer may already have a video editing software - for example:

• Windows Movie Maker

• Apple iMovie

Or, you can try an online video editing site - for example:

• Cuts

• Eyespot
   

3. Save your StoryTubes video.

Save your video as one of the following formats:

• .mov

• .avi

• .wmv

• .mpg

Uncertain how to save the file, we recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio.
 

4. Upload your StoryTubes video to YouTube or TeacherTube.

5.  Complete and submit the online entry form.

Entries will be accepted between 10:00 a.m. EST on January 8, 2009 and 9:00 p.m. PST on February 15, 2009.
